This Post Is All About 10 Easy Self-Care Routine Practices Your Body Will Love
1. Create Your Skin Care Routine (And Stick To It)
Beware of people saying that a 10-step skincare routine is what you need to have glowy skin (my opinion :). These skincare routines with many products are not sustainable for your wallet, and in most cases, they do more bad than good.
Unless you have particularly problematic skin (and in that case, you should consult an expert), for most of us, 4 to 5 products are more than enough.

Depending on your type of skin (oily, dry, normal, combination, or sensitive), you should include in your daily skincare routine a cleanser, a serum, a moisturizer, and an SPF cream (always wear SPF if you go outside for a long time)
Above all, you must be consistent with your skincare routine and ALWAYS wash your face to remove makeup, SPF, and other impurities after a day outside.
2. Look Good, Feel Good
What “feeling good” means to every one of us is subjective. And if you are the girl who can go outside without makeup and wear “almost” a pajama, I’m here to tell you, “GO, GIRL.” I’m that type of girl 60% of the time.
However, I can also recognize that when I put on light makeup and pay attention to what I wear and how I style it, I feel 100% better, even if I need to go grocery shopping or stay home.

Just try and see what works for you. When you are at home, wear a comfy but lovely outfit. Brush your hair and put on some light concealer and mascara. You will feel like in a film where people are well dressed even if they stay home.
This is even more helpful when you need to work from home, or you are required to be productive. Sticking to my morning routine, using light makeup, and wearing something nice makes me feel like I am in the office and, therefore, more focused.
3. Take Time For Your Showers
![self-care tips](https://ariaofgrowth.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Self-Care-Tips-683x1024.png)
Long showers are relaxing right before bed and can help you fall asleep quickly. Take the time to create a shower routine that makes you feel safe and loved (if you are lucky and you have a bath, it’s even better)
Light some scented candles, prepare your body and hair scrub, and spend time with yourself. Before showering, I use a scalp massager to penetrate the hair products even more. And after showering, I use a body oil to moisturize my skin.
4. Dry Brush EVERYDAY
I’ve been practicing dry brushing for a while and love it. Before a shower, it helps my lymphatic system wake up, particularly the lower part of my body. And this is particularly great after a long day sitting in the office.

To dry brush, use a natural fiber brush with a long or short handle. Start to brush from your feet and move up towards your heart. Use different pressures depending on the area of the body. When you brush your arm, you should move up to your armpits.
Among the benefits of dry brushing may be stimulation of the lymphatic system, skin exfoliation, and improved circulation and energy.

5. Facial Massage With Rollers Or Gua Sha
I’ve always been skeptical about the benefits of facial massage. However, after trying for several months, I have to say that it brought me several benefits, and it’s just so relaxing!

Facial rollers and gua-shas are different and serve different purposes. However, the expected benefits are improved facial lymphatic drainage, better blood circulation, and better absorption of beauty products.
Overall, they are your GO-TO products if you want to depuff and massage your face after you wake up or before bed.
If you need help using both of them, I love the tutorials on ZOVE.
6. Drink More Water
Drinking enough water and staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do to support your overall health (I’ve just filled my glass of water after writing this).
Unfortunately, there’s no “one size fits all” regarding how much water we must drink daily. It depends on how much water we get through food sources, how much physical activity we practice, and how much we sweat.

To ensure we drink enough, we should consume water every meal and throughout the day. I always make sure to have water close to me for easier reach.
Among the many benefits of water are digestion support, contribution to the well-being of joints, skin, and hair, and performance boost during physical activity.
7. Find Ways to Walk More During The Day
We need to be strategic in terms of finding ways to walk more. From parking the car further or buying a walking pad, walking can be the best ally when you are stuck in the office (or working from home).
Walking is effortless and free. You don’t need any equipment and can do it everywhere (you need to create the time). Among its benefits, we have improved cardiovascular resistance, stronger bones and muscle, and reduced body fat.

You don’t need to walk for 1 hour straight. Even short walks distributed during the day can be beneficial. Instead of taking long coffee breaks in the office, use that time for a quick walk around the building. Your attention and productivity will only benefit from it.
My favorite thing is to go for long walks in nature with a good podcast in my ears and no one around me.
8. Find A Type of Movement You Love
If you find a type of movement you love, you will stick to it long-term. And this is what will allow you to obtain results and improve over time.
There’s nothing right in deciding to go to the gym if you are not (yet) ready to start lifting weights. There are many activities you can choose from.

I love lifting weights. It makes me feel stronger and leaner. However, some days, I need something more active and fun. That’s when dancing steps in. If you love dancing too, you can learn from YouTube choreographies.
If you don’t want to buy a fitness studio subscription, YouTube is an excellent source for trying different practices: yoga, pilates, fitness classes, Zumba, dance classes, stretching, etc…
I used to follow MadFit during the pandemic for my home workouts, and let me tell you, she is GREAT! If you need any other type of video, type the practice you are looking for, followed by “class.” I hope you find your happiness!
9. Magnesium Supplementation Before Bed
In this section, I will cover the benefits of magnesium supplementation. Before starting any supplementation, you should consult your doctor.
![self-care routine list](https://ariaofgrowth.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/self-care-tips-2-683x1024.png)
Every day, before bed, I have a cup of hot water with a teaspoon of magnesium powder. This helps me massively with muscle tension release. Taking it before bed allows me to have a good night’s sleep without waking up.
Magnesium helps with muscle function, bone health, and energy production.
10. Cook Nutritious and Simple Meals
Lastly, cooking nutritious and simple meals is the base of your body’s health and self-care routine. And here, we are not talking about eating to lose weight but eating to feel good. If you are aiming to lose or gain weight, make sure you always contact a health professional.
I’ve recently started to pay attention to all the macronutrients I include in every meal. And the meals with the less quantity of proteins are the ones that leave me unsatisfied.
![self-care routine](https://ariaofgrowth.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/self-care-routine-5-683x1024.png)
Try to include carbs, proteins, fats, and a good quantity of vegetables in every meal. Aim for variety in what you eat to get the most significant amount of nutrients.
Add fruits to your afternoon and mid-morning snack. By following these simple rules, you will feel energized and satisfied.
